Melissa “Missy” Franklin – Swimming

Having garnered four gold out of five medals in the 2012 London Summer Olympics at only 17, Melissa Jeanette Franklin made a prominent start to her international competitive swimming career. A former record-holder in long course 200-meter backstroke, Missy Franklin, also won the ‘World Swimmer of the Year’ and ‘American Swimmer of the Year’ awards from Swimming World in 2012.

After announcing her retirement in 2018, Franklin started working as the ambassador of the USA Swimming Foundation. We’re sure that the former swimmer’s cameos in the comedy film The Internship and her documentary Touch the Wall will equally fascinate you!
