Long before the outstanding actor started playing Rubeus Hagrid in the Harry Potter franchise, Robbie Coltrane began his theater and stand-up comedy career. Until the 80s, Coltrane managed to establish a name for himself following his appearance in British comedy series like Alfresco and A Kick Up the Eighties. Later, he even appeared in two James Bond films and a superhit crime series called Cracker*.
Sadly, following his appearances in Harry Potter, the Scottish star’s career stalled, primarily because of worsening health condition. But let’s hope our beloved half-giant groundskeeper makes a comeback sometime soon!
