Sources say that the Duke of Edinburgh earned a private income through the properties and lands owned by the Duchy of Lancaster. It’s also believed that he and Queen Elizabeth owned Balmoral Castle and Sandringham Estate as a couple. Following his passing in 2021, his fortune would reportedly be left in the care of Her Majesty.
