Ultimately, her time in academia came to an end, and Spiranac transitioned to circuits more suited to professionals. The Colorado Women’s Golf Association Match Play Championship took place in July 2015, and she participated in it. She won the title after a 35-hole contest with Brittany Fan, finishing nine holes under par. She started to gain a large following on social media that same year.
Her status as a recreational golfer had been rising, but 2016 unlocked an entirely different set of opportunities for her. Spiranac finally turned pro, making it the most spectacular year of her career thus far.
