Sean Astin is an American director, actor, and producer globally famous for his role as Samwise Gamgee in “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy. He debuted in acting as a child artist in 1981 with an emotional TV film, “Please Don’t Hit Me, Mom,” where his real-life mom Patty Duke played the role of his mother.
He continued his acting career and appeared in several movies, including the ’80s hits “White Water Summer” and “The War of the Roses.” He is still rocking the cinema and appeared in the 2021 film “Charming the Hearts of Men.”
