The legendary English guitarist Tony Iommi is still active in the music scene at the age of 73! The ever-busy musician from Birmingham has played a huge role in defining Black Sabbath’s characteristic sound: his guitar melody riffs and unique fuzzy tone are a great part of what makes Sabbath so special.
A longtime collaborator and friend of drummer Bill Ward, Iommi isn’t afraid of trying new things in his life and career. He was married to four different women (the most recent being his current wife, Maria Sjoholm). He helped the Armenian band Dorians by writing their 2013 Eurovision Song Contest tune, “Lonely Planet.”
