Before Sean Astin became famously known as Samwise Gamgee, he first took the iconic role of Mikey Walsh in The Goonies. A string of successful films followed, including Like Father Like Son and White Water Summer. The ’90s brought several roles, but in the early 2000s, he hit it big with The Lord of The Rings trilogy.
We’ll never be able to forget Sean as Bob Newby in Stranger Things, while his brief feature in Supergirl is just as memorable. The Academy Award-nominated actor was most recently cast alongside Mickey Rouke and Thomas Nicholas in the crime thriller Adverse scheduled for a 2021 release.
