Her Dad Refused To Let Her Marry, 50 Years Later Something Extraordinary Is Discovered

There are many similar love stories to this one we’re about to tell you. Picture this – a young couple just out of college, madly in love, that wants to get married as soon as possible. We also may have heard about stories where the parents can’t accept that their children are all grown-up, ready to start their own family, and they’re worried that their children would soon be facing money issues (like online mortgage rates, refinance of loans). These same parents believe that their children should wait before getting married. Today, you’ll know a true story about a woman whose father put an end to her love story and marriage plans a long time ago, but fifty years later, something remarkable was discovered.

The Early Beginnings

Just like many other people, Janice Rude met her soulmate, Wilson Prentiss, while studying at Occidental College in Los Angeles, California. And so, when he proposed marriage, she accepted immediately, not even thinking about the realities in their future together (financial issues like perhaps living expenses, health insurance). It was 1962, and the couple was barely out of college.
