At 26, Stallone became bankrupt and he had to resort to a drastic action just to get a few bucks to survive. He sold his beloved dog Butkus and got only $40 from the heart-wrenching sale. Luckily, his fortunes turned around and once he gained fame and wealth from selling the Rocky script, he went back for his beloved companion.
