From Glittering Slopes to Snowy Silliness: Winter Photos to Make Your Day In Iceland
When Everything Is So Exhausting
This bear looks a bit glum, just slumped over on the ice. Maybe he’s thinking, “Where did all the fish go?” or “I need a nap.” This furry guy is likely a polar bear, one of the coolest—literally—bears around. They live in icy places like the Arctic, where it’s snowy and cold.
Polar bears have thick fur and a layer of fat called blubber to keep them warm in the freezing weather. Their big paws are also natural snowshoes, helping them walk on snow and ice without slipping. So, even though this bear looks a bit sad, he’s really well-equipped for his frosty home.
