June Lockhart is a stage and screen actress who gained fame for her nurturing roles in TV series like Lassie and Lost in Space. But her talents were truly recognized on stage, where she made her debut at the age of eight in a play called Peter Ibbetson at the Metropolitan Opera.
She gained further recognition on Broadway for her performance in For Love or Money, which won her a Tony Award for Outstanding Performance by a Newcomer. She has reduced her workload considerably, and her last known role was in a film called Bongee Bear and the Kingdom of Rhythm.
