Sue Thompson – 95 Years Old
Sue Thomspon achieved peak fame in the ’60s with her two hit songs, Sad Sad Movies (Make Me Cry) and Norman, which sold million-plus copies. She later released Paper Tiger in 1965. While not as big as the previous two, the third album did add to her popularity.
Her hitmaking prowess was on show at an early age, and she took an interest in music since the age of seven. But she had to wait until after WWII and a divorce from her first husband before getting her music break in bandleader Dude Martin’s band. She currently lives in Las Vegas, where she performs sporadically.
