Dick Van Dyke – 95 Years Old
The legend of Dick Van Dyke goes beyond his TV and film performances. He cut his teeth as a radio announcer in the Army, later using his voice to boost the troops’ morale through mainstream radio during World War II. He eventually went into broadway and starting his acting career.
When he branched out into TV and film, he became a household name with the lead role in the eponymous sitcom The Dick Van Dyke Show. He also starred in 1964’s Mary Poppins, earning praise for his energetic performance. He has been announced as one of the honorees at The 43rd Annual Kennedy Center Honors in 2021.
