Bob Barker is a man with the courage of his own convictions, prepared to drop a job if it didn’t fit his principles and ideals—like the time he refused to Host the Miss USA pageant because they used fur prizes in the 1987 event. This was because of his reputation as an animal rights activist.
He was the regular host of the pageant at the time, hosting from 1967 to 1987, the longest anyone has hosted the even for. But what he is best know for hosting is the longstanding popular game show The Price Is Right, from 1972 to 2007. He was last featured in the 2019 docu-series Lorena.
