Ricky Schroder was working his way up to business finance while working as a telephone repairman. However, he decided to pursue his dream of being an actor. He won a Golden Globe Award for his performance in the movie The Champ back in 1980. Schroder loves car racing, and has, in fact, used this love to support “Racing For Kids” – where celebs race to raise funds for children’s healthcare needs. In 2006, just before their 24th wedding anniversary, Ricky and his wife filed for divorce but the good news is that they remain active in their fight against child abuse.
