American Girl dolls can cost more than $100 at retail, and vintage dolls can be worth much more, especially if they were discontinued or produced in small quantities.
The “Samantha” doll was first released in 1986; then, it was put away in 2008 until it was re-released in 2014. You might be able to sell one made before 2008 for hundreds of dollars. In March 2021, an eBay auction sold a Pleasant Company model for more than $1k.
