Vintage Things You Might Find in Your Home That Can Be Sold Off for Thousands of Dollars

David Bowie’s Diamond Dogs Vinyl

It’s unlikely that Guy Peellaert, who created the “Diamond Dogs” album cover, anticipated which aspect of his artwork would make the record almost priceless. It wasn’t intended for Bowie’s RCA Records release in this exact form to be made public.

The label became alarmed when they saw that the back record cover showed a dog’s bottom half, complete with genitalia, and they had those areas erased before the album was released. Some staff, however, saved a few originals, which are now in high demand. According to reports, a duplicate fetched $3,550 in 2003, which is probably more than that these days.
