What These Famous Olympic Athletes Are Doing Now
Scott Moir – Figure Skating
For Scott Moir, ice skating was inevitable since he comes from a skating family. His brothers and two cousins were professional ice dancers, and his mother was a coach. A 10-year-old Moir met 8-year-old Tessa Virtue in 1997 through his aunt. Virtue would become his dancing partner for more than thirty years, up until their retirement in 2019.
Together they became the Canadian national champion, Grand Prix Final champion, Four Continents champion, World champion, and Olympic champion. With all the awards this duo won, they are considered the most awarded Canadian ice dance team and most decorated Olympic figure skaters.
