Matt Biondi – Swimming

Mathew Biondi began swimming at an early age and was avidly into water polo when his skill at sprint swimming emerged. In competitive swimming, Biondi won eleven medals over three Olympic Games between 1984 and 1992. He did it in style setting individual records thrice during the wins.

Post-retirement, Matt earned his Masters and became a school teacher teaching Maths and a swimming coach in Hawaii, a beautiful way to inspire kids and promote a passion for the sport! Much later, in 2014, he established an annual competition bearing his name – The Matt Biondi Masters Classic in California, inviting the swimming aspirants to find recognition.
