Paul Hamm – Gymnastics
When it comes to gymnastics, Paul Hamm was the perfect all-rounder. At least things appeared that way at the 2004 Olympics in Athens. Paul’s win resulted in him being the only American ever to take home the first position in both the Olympics and the World Championships. However, some people felt his victory was due to a scoring mishap.
After that incident, Paul never really fully returned to his original form and did not make the cut for the 2008 and 2012 games. The athlete didn’t hang up his mantle entirely, though, and has shown his skill elsewhere, such as on the Japanese cut of the television show Ninja Warrior!
