What These Famous Olympic Athletes Are Doing Now
Janet Beth Evans – Swimming
Famously nicknamed “Miss Perpetual Motion”, Janet Beth Evans has accomplished several marvelous achievements all through her journey. She kickstarted her career as a freestyle swimmer, breaking records in the 400-meter, 800-meter, and 1,500-meter relays. The winner of three gold medals at the 1988 Summer Olympics and two gold medals at each of the 1988 and 1992 Olympics, Evans was unique for her unorthodox “windmill” strokes.
Currently, the mother-of-two is appointed as the chief athlete officer in the organizing committee of the 2028 Summer Olympics. No wonder the former swimmer earned a rightful place in the International Swimming Hall of Fame!
