Brooklyn Beckham’s Billionaire Father-in-Law Breaks Silence on the Family Feud
The Beckham family drama just took another sharp turn. This time, the voice cutting through the noise belongs to billionaire investor Nelson Peltz. For months, headlines have circled around Brooklyn Beckham’s public fallout with his famous parents. Now his powerful father-in-law has stepped into the spotlight, and his words matter.
Earlier this month, Nelson Peltz addressed the feud during a live question-and-answer session at the Wall Street Journal’s Invest Live summit in West Palm Beach, Florida. The 83-year-old business magnate kept his tone calm, but his message was clear.
When asked about the Beckham drama, Peltz refused to fan the flames. He said the situation was not for coverage at the event, then quickly praised both his daughter Nicola and Brooklyn. Peltz called them “great” and said he hopes they have a “long, happy marriage together.”

The business bigwig made it obvious where his loyalty stands. He supports his daughter and his son-in-law without hesitation. He also revealed that he gives them advice on handling tough situations, although he joked that sometimes they give him advice too.
How the Beckham Rift Exploded
Brooklyn alleged that his mother, Victoria Beckham, canceled plans to design Nicola’s wedding dress at the last minute. He said Nicola had been excited to wear one of her designs and felt hurt when the plan changed.
The 26-year-old media personality also described an uncomfortable moment at the wedding reception. According to Brooklyn, singer Marc Anthony called him on stage for what he believed would be a romantic first dance with Nicola. Instead, he claimed his mother was waiting there, leading to what he described as “inappropriate dancing” that left him embarrassed.

Brooklyn / IG / The feud exploded in January 2026 when Brooklyn Beckham released a six-page Instagram statement accusing his parents of years of controlling behavior.
Wedding DJ Fat Tony later confirmed the moment felt awkward. Reports claimed Nicola, now 31, ran out of the room in tears after Victoria took the stage. That detail only fueled the public reaction.
Brooklyn also accused his parents of pressuring him to sign away rights connected to the Beckham name weeks before his wedding. He described the move as stressful and deeply upsetting. He further claimed that during a trip to London for David Beckham’s 50th birthday, his father refused to spend quality time with him unless Nicola was not present.
Legal Letters and Deepening Distance
The tension did not stop with Instagram posts. Reports soon surfaced that Brooklyn had hired lawyers in the summer of 2025 to send his parents a formal letter requesting limited contact.
The letter allegedly asked David and Victoria Beckham to communicate only through attorneys and to stop tagging him on social media. Insiders described the move as unprecedented and devastating for the parents.
Sources claimed Brooklyn felt public mentions and online posts were harming his mental health. He reportedly believed his privacy requests had been ignored. The legal step signaled that this was more than a simple family argument.

Brooklyn / IG / Marc Anthony, who performed at the wedding and is godfather to Cruz Beckham, also commented on the situation in early February.
Despite the estrangement from his parents, Brooklyn has reportedly stayed in touch with his grandparents on both sides. He has maintained calls and texts with them. This suggests the break is not with the entire family.
David and Victoria have kept their public responses measured. Neither has addressed Brooklyn’s detailed allegations directly. During an appearance at the World Economic Forum in Davos, David made a general comment about children being allowed to make mistakes on social media.
Where Does Marc Anthony Stand?
He called the feud “extremely unfortunate” but suggested that what has played out publicly is hardly the full truth.
Anthony declined to pick sides. He said he has known the Beckham family since before the children were born and described them as a wonderful family.
