Top 6 Signs You Hired a Bad Lawyer
Lawyers are known to be the ones who help people who need legal advice and representation. They are paid like doctors since they have the power to change people’s lives when they win or lose their case. However, not every lawyer is good, because there are some of them that might either be not suitable for you or they’re just simply not good enough because they’re not exactly dedicating and committing themselves to the case given to them.
It is difficult nowadays to actually hire a decent lawyer that is suitable for you since you have to consider a lot of things like how much would it cost, or how good they are, how much experience do they have, and a lot more. Some people don’t ’t know how they would be able to tell if a lawyer is good for them or not, so here are as a couple of signs to watch out for.
HE/SHE DOESN’T REMEMBER CASE DETAILS

A good lawyer must know every single detail about your case, that he or she must talk about it in their sleep. It is basically a part of their job because they will be your legal representation and they would also advise you about it. If your lawyer doesn’t really seem like they know what they’re doing because there are detailed that they seem to forget, then it is a pretty obvious sign that he’s not doing a good job as your lawyer.
HE/SHE IS USUALLY LATE
Lawyers must be professional at everything they do with their clients, and that includes being late. Once or twice is probably acceptable, but more than that, it is like they’re not exactly taking things as serious as it should be. Time is one of the most important things for a lawyer because there will always be deadlines and schedules. So if he or she is usually late on your meetings, then you might need to talk to him or her about it, since it will definitely affect their professionalism.
HE/SHE IS WILLING TO LIE
Lawyers must always stay true to the law, and those who are willing to be dishonest for any reason, is just a truly bad lawyer. If they are willing to lie about a certain part of the case or on court while on oath, then you should really think twice.
HE/SHE IS UNORGANIZED
One of the most common thing law students learn is to be organized in everything they do, because lawyers must always be organized, from their things, to their minds. A sign that your lawyer is not good for you, is that he or she doesn’t schedule meetings or sometimes forgets when it’s supposed to be. They might also bring the wrong paperwork sometimes.
HE/SHE IS OVERCHARGING YOU

Another obvious sign of a bad lawyer is that he or she is overcharging you. This is def noticeable especially if your case is stuck and there is absolutely no progress at all, or that it will only progress if you pay for him or her more. This would of course always depend on what kind of case you are in.
HE/SHE IS USALLY DIFFICULT TO REACH
Finally, a lawyer who doesn’t usually reply to calls, emails, and texts, is a major sign of a bad lawyer. This obviously mean that your lawyer isn’t that interested in working with you and your case because if they are, they would always reply and give you an update.
It is indeed difficult to find a suitable lawyer, but then again, you must not give up since there are a lot of good lawyers out there who will be willing to help you out.
